Help Make Our Mural Happen!
PhinneyWood voted this design for the N 63rd St/Aurora underpass, so now we need to raise $5,000 – our match for funding through Seattle’s Neighborhood Matching Fund. Donate online now or at these local businesses – each will match customer contributions up to $250 if the donation is made at the business!

More than 1,300 PhinneyWoodians voted to select the design, which will be painted on the north underpass wall for drivers, cyclists, joggers and pedestrians to enjoy as they pass through.
The artist, Michiko Tanaka, will outline the color-coded design and neighborhood volunteers will fill in the blanks starting July 19 – if the weather cooperates! Urban Artworks will supervise the painting. The mural will be covered with a special protective layer to make graffiti easier to remove and some of the money raised will pay for a maintenance contract to ensure it’s removed promptly!
The cost of the mural is being financed through your monetary donations and volunteer hours, and through the Matching Fund.
